This is exactly why I have been against the corporate bailout and stimulus packages since the beginning. Just look at all this PORK! $6B to turn Federal Building “Green” – that’s a lot of green to go green. $25MM for tribal alcohol and substance abuse programs – where is all that casino money going? $600MM to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees – I sure hope they are buying American cars – perhaps the auto industry should donate them as part of their bailout deal. $75MM for “smoking cesssation activities” – why is this a government problem? My favorite on the list is $160MM for “paid volunteers” – what? Volunteers are not paid. Keep working because the government can’t stop spending your hard earned tax dollars!
